The Corona Virus aka Covid-19

Life During the Pandemic of 2020 for our family
-March regular school was canceled and distant learning began for the remainder of Ava's kindergarten year.
-Parks, Gyms, Restaurants, stores that are not considered essential are shut down as well.
*no longer can I go to the YMCA and get my hour of me time to lift weights or swim while the little kids play at play center. No more days at the park. No more taking the kids to the store with me.
-Beaches are closed.
-Our ten year anniversary trip to hike the Inca trail in Peru canceled!!
-Mandatory mask wearing while in public. Social distancing( no playing with friends or big get-togethers)
-churches are closed
-All sports are canceled.

Ways we have survived: Scott built a play set in the backyard.
-Ava and Kash have learned how to ride bikes so we go on lots of bike rides.
- Go to church parking lot to ride bikes and eat lunch.
-Pick up free lunch given at the school.
- Shipt (grocery delivery service) and Target drive up pick up
_ Traveled to St. George where pools and parks are open in June and spent two weeks.
- Traveled to Kingwood Texas to spend time with my family and swim for two weeks.
-Kash learned how to swim across the deep end so now he can do slides and diving board.

The perks of this quarantine are we have no place to be so no rush to go anywhere.  Ava and Kash have been playing very well together. Scott and I are able to do long runs in the trails because we don't need to get Ava to school early. Big kids have gone camping quite a bit with Scott. More quality time with family because no sports on TV or extracurricular activities.

We are now in July and Ava's school just announce that at least for the first 6 weeks school will be at home again. My guess it will go until next if not the whole school year.  This is the craziest and most historical event that I have ever lived through. Life is so different now. Everyone is living in fear. People are feeling isolated and depressed. I honestly thought we would be back to normal by now but who knows when that will be!!
However we are getting through this day by day.
