It's Great to be 8!

Ava turned 8 on September 4th 2021. Grandma and Grandpa Beaman came that week for her baptism that happened on Sept. 5th.  Sat. Sept. 4th Ava invited her two best friends Isabella and Julianna to come to the Santa Clarita Pool which has water play center, slide, diving boards! It was a super hot day which made swimming a perfect activity. Grandma and Grandpa Beaman came as well. After the pool we all ate at our favorite place Cafe Rio. Then had Oreo ice cream cake and presents at home. It was a fun and happy day to celebrate AVA. On Sunday Sept 5th, Grandma and Grandpa Kunz drove up for Ava baptism that evening at 6:00pm. Scott Baptized her; both grandmas gave wonderful talks on the Holy Ghost and Baptism. The spirit was strong there. We were all so proud of her decision to be baptized. I feel so blessed and honored to have Ava as my first. She has been my biggest help. She is maturing into a beautiful young lady. Sometimes I feel like maybe I ask her to help me too much but she is always so willing to help with the younger kids. She helps take them to the bathroom, get shoes on, buckle and unbuckle their car seats, get them out of their cribs, reads to them, plays school, legos, barbies and magnetiles with them. I honestly think they look her as a second mommy because she is so nurturing to them.  When we pick the older two from school. The twins run to them to give each a big hug. Ava helps Kash every morning at school put his things away in his classroom.  She works hard at school and her teacher raves about her and how Delightful she is. This year reading has really clicked for her and it is so fun to see her get excited about these chapter books she has and is reading.

Hieght: 55 inches

Weight: 58 lbs

Ava loves legos, stuffed animals, pot stickers, Burger King and Taco Bell, Oreos, Art.

Ava and I went to LegoLand as part of her birthday present. It was one of the most relaxing and fun trips. We stayed at a hotel that had free continental breakfast, then we went and spent all day at Lego Land. Ava is still hesitant about the scarier rides but I convinced her to do some.  After Lego Land we ate at Cheesecake Factory for dinner and loved it!! The next day we had some beach time, shopping and drove home. It was a short trip but so nice to hang out with her and give her all my attention.

Ava and Kash did their first triathlon this past weekend. They were unsure about it but both did great and happy they did it. Ava got 2nd overall in her age group. She has been doing a swim clinic that is for 1 hour Mon- Thurs and her swimming has really improved.  She has learned all 4 strokes just working on having breastroke and butterfly being legal.
